Dr. Emilio J. Inarejos Clemente is a pediatric radiologist and Head of Diagnostic Imaging at Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Children’s Hospital, where he leads Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology. His main areas of expertise include oncology, musculoskeletal disorders and inflammatory diseases in pediatric patients.
He trained in Diagnostic Radiology at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona and subsequently completed his specialization in pediatric radiology at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, from 2011 to 2013.
In addition to his clinical activity, he leads the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Imaging Research Group at the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute, with research interests including imaging biomarkers, new imaging technologies, artificial intelligence, imaging safety and quality, and advanced image analysis and segmentation. He has extensive scientific and international teaching experience in pediatric radiology.
