Dr. Kai Vilanova is a specialist in Diagnostic Radiology and Director of the MRI Department at Clínica Girona. He is also an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Girona, and a consultant at the Institut de Diagnòstic per la Imatge.
His academic and clinical work is particularly focused on magnetic resonance imaging, musculoskeletal and oncologic imaging, with extensive experience in musculoskeletal tumors and advanced MRI applications. He has also developed significant expertise in prostate MRI and has authored and edited specialized publications in this field.
He has held major leadership positions in national and international scientific societies, including serving as President of the Spanish Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (SERME) and as Chair of the Tumor Committee of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR). He has also served as faculty and course director within the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology. He has an extensive scientific publication record and broad international teaching experience.
